Another driver can send one initial message through DashChat. You decide whether to accept the connection and continue the conversation. Ignore it, block the sender, or report inappropriate behavior. Your personal contact information never needs to be exchanged.
PRIVACY BY DESIGN
A plate can identify your vehicle inside DashChat. It doesn’t identify your private account details.
DashChat does not show other drivers your home address, phone number, email address, exact location, or DMV owner information simply because they search your license plate.
You control the connection
After one initial message, the conversation stays closed unless you accept it. You can block or report a user at any time.
Your exact location stays private
DashChat does not show other drivers where you live or your precise real-time location.
RESPONSIBLE USE
DashChat is for communication, not surveillance.
Do:Alert another driver to a problem, ask a vehicle-related question, request that a vehicle be moved, or make a respectful connection.
Don’t:Use DashChat to harass, threaten, stalk, intimidate, impersonate, or repeatedly contact someone who does not want to communicate.
Remember:Vehicle lookup information can be incomplete or inaccurate and should not be treated as official ownership information.
